DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
These people are authorized dealers of ADT (Gaylord Security), if you want ADT services, you'll be better off calling ADT directly and setting up the service. They try to get you by offering you things such as keyless remote, extra sensors...etc etc. They took up 30 minute of my time, only to not show up during the scheduled time for installation..no call/no show!! They wanted proof that I lived at my residence but stated that a lease was not an acceptable item for proof of residence (crazy), not to mention the rep failed to even ask for the lease when taking my order because they rep was to busy trying to get credit for an order. Scam artist...they will run your credit without your permission. *** poor customer service. I wrote a letter to ADT and ask them to consider removing Gaylord Security as an authorized dealer. They are HORRIBLE!! Hang up the phone when and if they call you!! They are basically scammers!!

They pull my credit score WITHOUT my approval . I never give them my ssn. They took it on their self to pull my credit. I would suggest not to do business with them. After that, I will never do business with ADT.

Gaylord Security Account Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
You closed my account for $60 and sent it to collection even though ADT stated that it was a mistake and they would reactivate. Your regional manager stated they "aren't touching my account." But hey your merger went through and I'm just a ex customer with a collection on my account and can't refinance my house. Thanks for that!

The cost of the system was extremely higher and the salesman was not trained very well. They quoted me $545.99 for a FREE SYSTEM LOL, I guess thats the gaylord way. I went with a different ADTcompany up north salesman named Kent was very professional and was very well trained. Cost for the same basic system and equipment $235.99, Wow a difference of $310.00 oh my god for the same equipment.

Gaylord ADT spam

I got 17 emails this morning all sent within a 15 minutes time frame from Gaylord Security promoting ADT. I will be sending these off to the FTC and ADT corp office as well as the BBB and the attorney generals office. Stop spamming my email I don't need your service and never will. You scums need to pay for Ads and stop send out a bunch of your useless emails. ADT stinks and so does Gaylord. I trust that the attorney generals office will implement a hefty fine on both companies so it will teach you both not to spam

Review about Installation Services from Phoenix, Arizona

Do not use this company for any thing equipment does not work nor do they care one bit. Not only do they do a bad job of install they cause damage to your home and do not clean up or do repairs. The owner of the company believes that it is OK for his installer to do what he calls reasonable damage and as a customer if the equipment does not work allow them to continue to come in your home use same equipment and creat more holes in your walls than a year later they charge you for no services for monitoring Gaylord a true spam and rip off artist so do not purchase from this company they also will charge you for additional equipment or double charge you for the same equipment I know firsthand have bank statements to prove it email to back up what I say is to be the truth so buyer beware do not use them.this company has no integrity they pretend that they don't know what you're talking about they also deny that the incident error occurred or happen

Never showed up

I sent em $105.93 by debit card and they where to come out next day and install my system. Two and a half hours after they didn't show up at the agreed time I called em and they said his truck broke down and they resech him for the next day at the same time. After three hours past his appointment time I called em back and his supervisor didn't even know where he was at or why he hadnt shown up. I told em to canx my order and send me my money back. I guess I'll be lucky to ever see my money again.

15 Calls in 3 days

Good grief...ONE call would have been sufficient. I made the HUGE mistake or requesting information on an ADT System. FIFTEEN freaking calls later, I called those idiots and told them they better not ever call me again and I would NEVER buy a system through them. !!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT EVER CALL SOMEONE FIFTEEN TIMES IN THREE DAYS FOR A FREAKING CALL BACK. NO ONE DESER VED TO BE HARRASSED LIKE THAT. I WORK FOR A LIVING AND CANT STOP EVERY HOUR TO TAKE YOUR FREAKING CALL !!!!! I HAVE Never had a company be so *** about the way they are handling their sales. Why would you bother someone like that? ONE CALL,,ONE CALL,,ONE CALL and someone will call you back, but not FIFTEEN !!!!!!!

False advertising

I've been wanting a security system for awhile now, and when ADT came to my door, I thought it sounded like a good deal. I gave the salesman that came to my door my nickname, and a false ss# (I never give anyone my real ss#). Within 10 mins, he texted me and told me that my credit was just 5 points off getting it installed at the price I was quoted. I would have to pre-pay 3 years. not my name, not my social, but he ran my "credit report" and i needed a lot more money up front. rip off!

Bad/No credit = no ADT alarm. Learn the system troll.

What would be funny was if the person who's SSN you did provide were to prosecute you for identity theft.... but no you're right ..

you really burned them and then trashed them on the web... good job ***.

Guest

Perhaps you should use a fake social security # that will result in a "higher" credit score.

Guest

Almost every security company runs credit to verify who they are dealing with upfront. Majority of the alarm sales reps that knock no your door will be for a security dealer of the actual company that will provide your home the services you so desire. These security dealers give the home the opportunity to gain more while paying substantially less or nothing at all upfront vs the actual company who can and will charge for every piece of equipment necessary to fulfill your needs.

Lastly, are you more upset that you provided false information to gain the security you so desired or are you upset the false information you provided did not measure up to that company's credit standards?

Heads up minimum score to qualify for a company that runs credit to sign a home owner up for security is 600 unless that company is just trying to beef up numbers and then lowers for a brief time period the minimum score which is very rare. 600-49 score is not good credit but borderline and can get you through the door to secure your family. 650-699 is a decent step up score wise yet still almost in same breath as prior. 700+ means you have a choice who provides security to your home and I would pray you do not choose wrong by being too greedy LOL or looking to hard bc most of the best deals will come from the security rep knocking on your door trying to earn your business for that security dealer that they turn your paperwork into for the major company that will do the actual providing for your family's home.

Hope this helps :zzz,

Brain

ADT SCAM ARTIST

GAYLORD SECURITY SYSTEMS HAS SCAMMED ME! I recently purchased my ADT alarm system through Gaylord Security Systems after moving into our new house in Southern Highlands. We knew we were going to get a system, and we've heard positive things about ADT so we called Gaylord, listened to their pitch and signed the agreement. This was a Saturday, and the system was to be installed the following Saturday. Two hours after the system was installed, I called Gaylord's office to let them we did not feel the system they sold us on was the system we got and we wanted out of the contract. They said we had three days from the time the contract was signed to exit penalty free and now we would have to pay $1500 for the parts and $200 for labor. NOBODY TOLD US THIS WHEN WE WERE SIGNING AND THE SYSTEM WASN'T EVEN INSTALLED FOR SEVEN DAYS. How would we have time to know if we liked the system or not if it wasn't even installed yet? Stay away from Gaylord Security Systems! There are better products out there and these Gaylords are SCAM ARTISTS!

DO not sign a contract with Gaylord Security systems until it has been installed. If they want your business then they will wait for your signature.

Gaylord Security Ripoff

I had a system installed by this ripoff company in washington state. I have reported it to every one i could my system was never installed correct and does not work. I spent $675 on my free system that i ended up taking down since gaylord and adt would not make it right. Bad bad bad service, bought 2 signs and stickers on ebay after i was never given any and have not had a problem in over a year.Thank god for EBAY, also i looked at home depot after a friend also was ripped off by gaylord/adt they have the same thing for $99, which is what theycharge to sign up and monitoring for $4.95 a month not $42.99 for 3 years. Yes thats right do the research on the computer there are companies doing it for less adt charges the dealer $5.00 and month and they charge $42.99 wow big markup, and yes this is all on the computer.

Yes I am very Aware of Kevin-diane gaylord and how adt operates.

I sold security for ADT for 17 years with two companies and then my own

ADT sub.

I had to get out its a very shady business and yes and a person

Can get more Professional work done by ADT corporate which will include

A Professional sales person and installer. Most dealers like this hire

People and train them for a say or two and let them go out when they are Not ready which they usually have no clue and will tell you anything. And yes the dealer gets 36-60 months of $34.99-49.99 up front which can be $1200-**** including $99.00 upfront for about $125 system, signs stickers which you can get anywhere including ebay. I work today as a Private Investigator, and recently saw a situation that proved you only need a sign.

There's a neighborhood in Renton 12 homes and the only homes not broke into were the ones with signs, two which had no system just a sign... Also be careful of who comes into your home there are cases of a ADT rep in the Seattle area working for the local dealer that Raped a 15 year old girl , it's happened more than once and of course you Can look up Federal court records also I have proof that a local dealer I worked for hires criminals such as ...A Burglar, A Murderer, A fraud case, etc. I also was ripped off by the dealer I worked for who has a reputation for not paying people when they leave he takes a 2-5 % out of your check and holds it I had over 10,000 but never got anything I earned.

What I'm saying is just do your research and be careful who you let in you don't want them coming back later and breaking into your home. Ask for ID...Call the company when he shows up before letting them in....Does he have a ADT vehicle, Adt badge with ADT coat, shirt, etc...Good luck

couple things here....

1st... do you have an alarm dealership, all the equipment that you need and the ability to install and program all of the equipment?

if not then $5 a month is not avail to you or your ill-informed friend.

2nd ... $42.99 is a POTS system. "Plain Old Telephone Service" Horrible protection and carries at minimum a $30 phone line. I'm guessing you are so cheap that you also had DSL (if you don't know how that affects your alarm then you're ***).

This would explain why there was such a problem with your service.

3rd... instead of installing a pragmatic system, one that addresses your issues in the first place, you've since chosen to rely on signs and stickers for your alarm. I want my family to be safe.... not the illusion of safety hidden behind ADT stickers.

Your posting is irresponsible.

If you can make do with signs and stickers then keep it to yourself because more idiots like you that have the appearance of an alarm exposes more honest people that do in fact have and pay for an alarm to loss... that makes you a liar and a ***.
